About Dr. Ahearn
Dr. Ahearn was teaching a mountaineering Outward Bound course in the North Cascades when she first heard of her admission to medical school at Oregon Health Sciences University. While in medical school, she completed a summer research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health and an international health elective in India. After completing residency at UCLA , she returned to the beautiful NW where she lives with her husband with whom she raised two children and continues to enjoy the outdoors.
Dr. Ahearn is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and has extensive experience in conservative gynecologic surgeries such as laproscopic supracervical hysterectomy and operative hysteroscopy. In her medical practice, she also enjoys taking the mystery out of such topics as polycystic ovarian syndrome, perimenopause and hormone replacement therapy.
About Dr. Andison
Dr. Bruce Andison was born and raised in Melbourne Australia. (and yes- he does have that wonderful Austraaahlian accent) He completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency in Melbourne Australia as well as a Fellowship in Pelvic Surgery and Oncology. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
After meeting his sweetheart-to-be whilst she was visiting Australia from Vancouver on a temporary teaching job, he was persuaded to move to the Vancouver area in 1989 where he lives with his wife with whom he raised a family. He has been providing excellent and compassionate care to patients here ever since and brings his extensive experience including the latest in robotic surgery to Northwest Gynecology Associates.
In his spare time he greatly enjoys the outdoors, his grandchildren and tending to his ranch.
